Evellen Buettner is a licensed real estate professional with Black Tie Realty, serving the Omaha metro with a depth of empathy, expertise, and genuine human connection that is rare at any stage of a career.
Evellen moved to Omaha in 2018 for college and never left. She studied Sociology, Anthropology, Ethics, and Medical Humanities at the University of Nebraska Omaha, a course of study that reflected what she was already drawn to: understanding people, their circumstances, and what they need to move forward. She earned her real estate license in April 2021 and built her client base from the ground up, one relationship at a time.
That background in human behavior and ethics found its natural home in her professional life. Evellen currently serves full-time as a Social Services Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility in Omaha, where she works daily alongside individuals aged 65 to 100 and beyond, often during some of the most significant and difficult moments of their lives. It is work that demands patience, discretion, and the ability to make someone feel truly heard. She brings every bit of that to her real estate practice. In the summer of 2025, she earned her Senior Real Estate Specialist® designation, formalizing an expertise she had already been living.
Evellen has an old soul's gift for connection. She is the kind of person who will sit with you for hours, listen to your story, and never make you feel rushed or overlooked. For clients navigating senior transitions, downsizing, or family-involved decisions, that quality is not a nicety. It is everything.
She is an alumna of Sigma Kappa Sorority and remains actively involved at the national level, currently serving as a recruitment advisor at another university. In 2022, she and her wife celebrated their wedding in downtown Omaha's Old Market, a neighborhood that reflects exactly the kind of city Evellen has made her home: full of character, community, and people worth knowing.
Evellen joined Black Tie Realty at its founding in 2025 and has been an integral part of the team from day one. She believes that whether in real estate or in life, showing up for people, not just as a resource but as a source of encouragement and steady support, is what the work is really about.
When she is not with clients, Evellen is most alive when she is exploring. From the beaches and mountains of the American West to the streets of Thailand, where she has traveled and plans to return, she approaches every new place the way she approaches every new client: with curiosity, openness, and genuine interest in what she might discover.
