Lydia and Ben O'Keefe are a licensed real estate team with Black Tie Realty, bringing to every transaction a combination of deep market knowledge, hands-on renovation expertise, and the kind of grounded, genuine warmth that makes clients feel at ease from the first conversation.

 

Lydia has been a licensed real estate professional since 2009 and has never approached the industry as anything less than a serious career. After earning her license, she stepped directly into brokerage management, overseeing operations and supporting agents before eventually returning her full focus to clients and transactions. That early experience gave her a perspective on real estate that goes well beyond the sale. She holds the Graduate REALTOR® Institute designation, the Seller Representative Specialist® designation, and the Certified Residential Specialist® designation, one of the most rigorous and respected credentials in residential real estate, reserved for those who have demonstrated a high level of professional achievement, education, and production. Together, these designations reflect not just years in the industry but a deliberate investment in doing the work exceptionally well.

 

Ben earned his real estate license in 2021, drawn by a shared vision with Lydia to build something together. Where Lydia brings breadth of experience and professional depth, Ben brings a hands-on expertise that is genuinely rare among real estate professionals. As an active participant in property renovation and investment, he understands what a home is worth not just on paper but in practice, what it costs to improve it, what buyers will respond to, and where the real opportunity lies. For investors, flippers, and buyers with an eye for potential, Ben is exactly who you want in your corner. He approaches every opportunity the way he approaches everything: with energy, optimism, and a willingness to roll up his sleeves.

 

Lydia grew up in Colorado, where the outdoors shaped everything, from snowboarding and hiking to white water rafting and competitive sports. Ben is a Colorado native as well, and the two have known each other since childhood. Life took them on separate paths before bringing them back together, and they have been building a life and a business side by side ever since. They now call Plattsmouth home, where they are raising their two young sons, Aiden and Jaxon. Lydia's older children, Donavan, a nurse, and Marissa, a theater artist in Omaha, remain a cherished part of the family circle.

 

When they are not working, you will find the O'Keefes outdoors, on the water, at a campsite, or in the stands cheering on the Nebraska Huskers or the Kansas City Royals. They are active in their church and community, and they travel when they can, always seeking the next opportunity, on the road or off.
